All City Team Criteria: 2010-2011
Purpose:
The purpose of the All City Team is to recognize bowlers in the GSLBA who have demonstrated superior performance in the sport of bowling and maintained high sportsmanship like conduct while representing various geographic areas of the association.
Eligibility:
All GSLBA bowlers that have bowled in a certified league at a center within the jurisdiction of the GSLBA are eligible provided they are in good standing in the association.
The season will begin August 1st and end May 31st of the following year. Bowlers are responsible for turning in their scores. All scores must be received by the GSLBA office no later than July 1st following the end of the season. Scores must be submitted for consideration.
Determining Eligible Leagues:
1. The bowler will only be allowed to accumulate points in two leagues, regardless of how many leagues in which they participate. The bowler must be a regular member of the league, substitute scores will not be considered. In order to determine the two leagues, they must be in different bowling centers and the leagues with the highest averages will be used. If the same average occurs, then the league with the most points will be used. A Travel league or Certified Sports League may count as a league in a different center, even if bowled in the same center as another league. Sports League averages will be adjusted based on the national conversion table. Leagues with multiple segments will be counted as one league with a cumulative average.
2. The bowler must bowl a minimum of 2/3rds of the season in a league for it to be eligible for consideration for the All City Team.
3. Summer leagues will not apply.
4. Points will be awarded for eligible scores bowled in Association sponsored tournaments.
Tie Breakers for Bowler of the Year or All City Team:
If a tie occurs in total points, the person with the highest Scratch All Events in the Open, Women’s, Junior or Senior Tournament will be awarded the tie. If another tie occurs, the Highest Scratch Singles score will prevail.
